Considerable interest in Kitemill at exhibition in USA

There was great interest in Kitemills technology as its CEO Thomas Hårklau held a presentation about the company at the annual technology trade show IDTechEx in the United States. The fair was held in mid-November 2015 in Santa Clara Conventional Centre just off San Francisco and collected all 3000 participants.

Hårklau's presentation

-On the basis of the questions raised after my presentation, I got a clear understanding that it was particularly our need for airspace that they wanted to know more about. To this I replied with a very concrete example, from our permit from the Civil Aviation Authority to kiting over Ribland Farm in Sokndal municipality, says Thomas Hårklau.

1000 meters altitude, radius of 1.6 km

Kitemill received in March 2015 permission of the CAA to operate kites within a limit of 3000 feet with a radius of 1 nautic mile. This corresponds to about 1000 meters altitude and a radius of 1.9 kilometers. This shows that there is no need for large air space for conducting kite plant to produce power, in a very inexpensive way.
